Pathfinder Online
Pathfinder: Kingmaker is an isometric role-playing game developed by Russian studio Owlcat Games and published by Deep Silver, based on Paizo Publishing's Pathfinder franchise. Announced through a Kickstarter campaign in 2017, the game was released for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux on 25 September 2018. Pathfinder Online Overview. Pathfinder Online is sandbox MMORPG developed by Goblinworks based on the Pathfinder franchise. The game divergences from the cookie cutter generic MMORPG by having no set classes, a completely player driven economy, no unnecessary grinding, player housing, and open world PvP. The game accomplishs the 'no grinding' promise by implementing steady XP gain for players whether they're online or offline, similar to how skill gain in Eve Online works. Pathfinders offer a wide range of activities. The Teen Leadership Training (TLT) program works closely with the Pathfinder program and is for high school students (grades 9-12).
Pathfinder Online is a MMORPG under development, based on the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Completion of development is uncertain due to layoffs of most of the development team and no major publishers signed.[1]
Development[edit]
A computer game adaptation of the Pathfinder universe, Pathfinder Online, was announced on November 27, 2012 by Goblin Works and Paizo and was successful in attracting Kickstarter crowdfunding[2][3] in 2013 to finance its development.[4] An official alpha test was announced in late June 2014.[5] Early enrollment was announced on July 29, 2015.[6]
On September 2, 2015, Lisa Stevens, acting CEO of Goblinworks and CEO of Paizo Publishing announced layoffs at Goblinworks of most of the Pathfinder Online development team.[7] As of March 2016, the project was in the process of transitioning to a new developer.[8]

Pathfinder Online, a massively multiplayer online (MMO) fantasy roleplaying game, is in development by Paizo Inc., and was previously developed by Goblinworks.
Pathfinder Online takes place in Pathfinder campaign setting, and is a hybrid sandbox/theme park-style MMO roleplaying game where characters explore, develop, and dominate the River Kingdoms, a treacherous no-man's-land of squabbling kingdoms on the edge of wilderness. Players explore, adventure, develop, and dominate their domains by playing fighters, rogues, wizards, or any of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game's many character types, or they can use the game's archetype system go beyond standard options.
Pathfinder Online's robust trading system puts players in control of the world's economy with player-created items, consumables, fortifications, and settlements. Character-controlled settlements can grow into full-fledged kingdoms that compete for resources as they seek to become the dominant force in the land, raising vast armies to hold their territory against the depredations of monstrous creatures, NPC factions, and other player characters.
Social organizations scale from small parties of a few adventurers to player nations inhabited by thousands. As settlements develop, the surrounding wilderness develops more complex and challenging features, including randomly generated encounters and resources as well as scripted adventures.
